My Contol Box does not power up?
The control box usually gets power supply from the cigarette lighter or radio. Check both these items are working. If not working then check
fuses for the cigarette lighter or radio. Check power supply connection.
My Geith Control Box does not change from fast beeping to continuous tone?
Control box not receiving a signal from the pressure switch. Use BYPASS BUTTON to verify. Check pressure switch, cable and Deutsch connector
After pressing the power button there is a continuous tone, all lights flash then control box switches OFF?
The AUXILARY supply cable on the harness is shorting out. Check auxiliary cable.
After pressing the power and unlock buttons, then curl to get the pressure signal there is a continuous tone, all lights flash then control box switches OFF?.
The Solenoid feed wire on the harness is shorting out or the coil is shorting out. Check cable to the solenoid valve. Check Coil.
What pressure do I need to set my quick coupler circuit at?
Geith Coupler pressure & flow requirements
For all Geith standard hydraulic couplers and the base section of Geith tilt couplers, it is recommended to take the supply pressure from the same pump that supplies the excavator arm.
All Geith coupler cylinders are rated to take the full working pressure from the excavator. There is no requirement to reduce the machine pressure.
Recommended working range per machine size.
- 1t to 2t Excavator: Min. pressure 160 bar Max. pressure 250 bar (Min Flow = 1.0 l/m)
- 3t to 4t Excavator: Min. pressure 200 bar Max. pressure 300 bar (Min Flow = 3.0 l/m)
- 4t to 15t Excavator: Min. pressure 300 bar Max. pressure 350 bar (Min Flow = 10 l/m)
- 15t and larger Excavator: Min. pressure 300 bar Max. pressure 350 bar (Min Flow = 20 l/m)

Can I use my blank/dummy coupler pins to mount my coupler to my excavator?
Hard Pins are always used in the machine dipper and links positions. They connect the coupler / attachment directly to the arm of the machine. Hard pins are typically supplied by the machine manufacturer.
Soft Pins (blank/dummy coupler pins) are used in attachments that are picked up by a pin grab coupler. Soft pins should never be used to direct mount an attachment to a machine arm.
Geith Bucket Pins are not to be fitted to the machine arm and should only be used on attachments being picked up by a Quick Coupler.
Hard pins can be supplied with Geith Tilting Quick Couplers.
