At Geith we have over 65 years experience in design and manufacturing premium quality excavator attachments.
Founded in Slane Co. Meath, Ireland 1959, in a town called Grangegeeth. Geith is a renowned design and manufacturing company known for it’s range of excavator and backhoe quick couplers plus a range of ancillary buckets and attachments, all designed and tested at Geith HQ in Ireland with a focus on safety, innovation and constant update to meet the demands of the evolving and dynamic construction, demolition and recycling markets.
The first Geith Quick Coupler was manufactured in 1980, and what followed in 2001 was a product that changed the global construction industry. “The first patented dual locking Quick Coupler” with a front pin safety clasp that prevented accidental disengagement of buckets and attachments.
Geith Quick Couplers led the way for a safer workplace and meet global safety standards (ISO13031 & EN474-1) thanks to patented triple locking systems and design with a focus also on excavator safety controls ensuring safe disengagement and engagement of attachments.

Every day, across the world, buckets fall from machines causing serious injury and even fatalities. As reported by national safety departments, this is frequently caused by buckets disengaging unintentionally from excavator Quick Couplers. Geith believes it’s everyone’s responsibility in this industry to prevent these accidents from occurring.
Four independent safety features on a Geith Hydraulic Quick Coupler ensure a safe changeover of attachments without the need for the operator to leave the excavator cab.
A Geith ISO13031 compliant Quick Coupler helps prevent buckets accidently falling from excavators in scenarios such as:
- Misconnection.
- Cylinder Failure / Loss of Hydraulic Pressure.
- Accidentally opening a Quick Coupler in an unsafe position.

If the item you require is not available in our distribution hubs, we can configure a partially finished stock bucket to your specifications in either our North Dakota or Portugal configuration centers. This includes welding on tooth assemblies, side cutters, and pins.
